Welcome
Hi, and welcome! I'm so glad you found your way here. This little corner of the Rising Speech Pathology website is going to be a mix of things. Some posts will dig into speech and language topics I get asked about all the time, and others will be more personal, like stories from our travels. My hope is that whether you're here for practical tips or just to see what we've been up to, you'll find something worth sticking around for.
Why a blog, and why the mix?
Speech pathology is a big part of my life, but it isn't all of it, and honestly, I think the two sides feed each other more than you'd expect. Traveling has a way of making you notice communication in a whole new light: watching how families connect across language barriers, how kids pick up new sounds and words on the fly, how much can be said without any words at all. So rather than keep those worlds separate, I wanted a space where they could sit side by side.
What you can expect
On the professional side, I'll be sharing practical tips for parents and caregivers, answers to the questions I hear most often in sessions, milestone guides, and the occasional myth-busting post about speech and language development. On the personal side, expect stories from our trips, a few photos, and maybe some lessons learned along the way (both in and out of the therapy room).
New posts will show up here regularly, so check back often, or better yet, follow along so you never miss one.
Thanks for being here. I can't wait to share more with you.
Chloe
